FLOWING AGAIN
After all the rain over the last few weeks, you would expect to see a raging torrent, but no, just a gentle trickle down stream. The transformation from a dry creek bed and paddock, to a little stream and lush grass is beautiful. I really love seeing how lush everything now (as much as I hate the cold).
These two pictures are of the stream running through the estate and suprisingly from the same spot. The first one is down stream, facing Cowaramup town, and the second is upstream facing south(ish). The old willow trees that you can see in the distance in the top picture were planted by my Great Uncle Col and are about 40 years old. Never really took much notice of them when we were growing up as they were "just a couple of trees" in a paddock and we never had any reason to go there. I'm really glad that they will be part of the parkland as they are beautiful old things, and will be great to relax under. Great for a picnic and a game of cricket near by.
