TOP 10 SUMMER MEMORIES
The days are getting shorter, the evenings cooler and the rain impending.

I don't want to forget about summer just yet, so as reminder, I made a list of the thing I most enjoyed this summer down south.

1. Sharing a glass or two of crisp Margaret River Sav Blanc on the balcony and admiring the sunset

2. Getting my fix of delicious cheeses and Yallingup wood fired bread from Margaret Riviera. I'm addicted to Yallingup wood fired bread and can't get enough!

3. BBQs with friends and family (Make sure you get your meat from Cowaramup Meat Specialists - guaranteed to get loads of compliments on your "fantastic" cooking - but really you know it was just that the meat was so good)

4. Saturday wine tours. I've set a goal to visit every winery down here with a cellar door, and whilst I am getting through them, I still have a long way to go. Having all the wineries on our door step feels like I am on holidays every day.

5. Afternoon swims at Cowaramup Bay. Leaving work early, heading to the beach for a swim and lying on the raft.

6. Cooking meals with produce from the vege patch. I can't take any credit for the actual growing, but loved cooking and sitting down to meals knowing 90% had come from our own garden.

7. Waiting to see what Dad and Ian bring back from fishing. We discovered Dhu fish wings and frames this year and I have to say this is the best part of the fish. I'd swap these with the fillets any day.

8. Early mornings on a scorching hot day. I love the early mornings when you know the rest of the day is going to be scorching hot. There is a crispness and a crackle to the air.

9. Sunday Sundowners in the park. I love a good picnic and it was great relaxing on a Sunday evening with a picnic and a glass of wine.

10. Not being in London. I spent the last three years in London and hardly saw sun for the entire time. As much as I had a great time in London, the quality of life here is so much better and have no yearning to go back.

What are your top 10?
