CAPE TO CAPE CATCHMENT AWARDSThe Cape to Cape Catchments group works in partnership with the businesses and the community to coordinate natural resource management in the region.
We have just nominated ourselves to enter the Cape to Cape Catchment awards which recognises on the ground efforts being made by landholders to conserve and enhance biodiversity and catchment values on their property.
With the stream being made more predominant and designed to strip nutrients from the water and control the flow of water, some 40,000 local species being planted and the involvement by the Cowaramup Primary School, we think we have a chance.
What was a bare paddock 12 months ago is now being transformed into a beautiful parkland for residents and visitors to enjoy. The picture above was taken today, and shows such a transformation.
