IT'S REALLY HAPPENING! COWARAMUP'S EXPANSION UNDERWAY
After six years going through approvals, the family behind Cowaramup Country is finally getting to hand their land over to a new Cowaramup generation.
The Earl brothers, Ian, Allan and Neil, recently shared a beer with close friends and supporters to celebrate the commencement of construction on the site that they call home.
Ian Earl said the reality that the plans are really coming together with mixed emotions for the family, but knowing how the town will now evolve makes it all worthwhile.
“It’s been a hard slog to get the project to this stage, and many times we had wished there was an easy route. But it’s important to us the town grows in the right way and it’s been a privilege to be involved in its future,” Ian said. At the celebration, the head of the family, Betty Earl, who raised five children in a small country cottage on the property said she has fond memories of her life on the land, but she is confident that the boys’ late father would be very proud of their efforts.
